May 2020. These field recommendations for floral hemp were prepared by Dr. Michelle McGinnis, formerly with the N.C. Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, Agronomic Division in May 2020 and will be updated as new information is developed. (live links available in the PDFs at the end). Please keep in mind that hemp is a new crop (2017 was the first production year in NC), so very limited research based information is available. We are conducting fertility studies across the state every year and will continue to update this page as that information is made available.
