Collapse ▲6/30/2023 – Mark your calendars for August 10, 2023 for the Mountain Horticultural Crops Research and Extension Center Field Day. New this year, we are going to highlight a wide variety of crops and projects, instead of just tomatoes, or apples, or ornamentals. You will get to select 2 of the 3 tours being offered.
- Route 1: Tomatoes and Vegetables (features tomato breeding, entomology, food safety and plant pathology)
- Route 2: Apples (features pathology, entomology, plant physiology, and more!)
- Route 3: Specialty Crops (fiber hemp, hops breeding, Traditional Chinese Medicinal Herbs, and breeding of nursery and landscape crops).
Registration starts at 12:30 p.m. and the field day should end around 4:30 p.m. There is no pre-registration, and unlike previous years, there will not be a meal served.
