2/27/2020 – The USDA is delaying the requirement to only use DEA registered labs for hemp testing for the 2020 growing season. It is also delaying the requirement that licensed hemp farmers use a DEA-registered reverse distributor or law enforcement to dispose of hot plants. These changes are temporary and are valid until October 31, 2021, or until the final rule is published. The USDA also stated that they will conduct random audits of licensees to verify that hemp is being produced in accordance with the provisions of the rule.
